Three Raider gridders named All-NLC


Senior inside linebacker Beau Bojanich, senior cornerback Bradly Borsodi and senior outside line-backer Brock Thompson are the Northridge representatives on the 2023 All-NLC football first team

League co-champions Mishawaka and Warsaw topped the list of honorees with eight and seven picks, respectively. Making the elite unit for the Cavemen were senior running back Ethan Bryce, senior quarterback Brady Fisher, junior fullback Novell Miller, junior lineman Carmine Orozco, junior linebacker Jackson Snyder, senior wide receiver Trey Thomas, senior cornerback Jack Troyer and senior lineman Matt Wills.

The Tigers selected included senior defensive lineman Isaac Beam, senior offensive lineman Chase Carl, junior offensive lineman Kameron Kauffman, senior outside linebacker Eric Pohl, junior kicker Mason Smythe, senior inside linebacker Jette Woodward and senior running back Reed Zollinger.

Four Concord players made the grade. The Minutemen chosen were senior offensive lineman Chris Adams, senior of-fensive tackle Cody Byler, senior center Kamrin Lew-is and junior running back Jaron Thomas.

NorthWood and Wawasee joined Northridge with three selections each. Senior linebacker Keith Miller, senior quarterback Owen Roeder and senior wide receiver NiTareon Tuggle were the Panthers tabbed. The Warriors named were senior safety Derek Bontrager, senior running back Brandon Kelly and senior corner-back Hunter Tinkey.

Completing the first team were senior running back Drew Elliott and senior defensive back Jace Hershberger of Goshen, and sophomore linebacker Brady Coffin and junior quarterback Exzander Ramirez of Plymouth.

A total of 16 players received honorable mention votes, including senior Josh Kaehr and senior Corbin Kollat of Northridge. The others were Bo Brunner (Concord), Reese Breveard (Concord), Evan Wagner (Goshen), Xavier Juarez (Mishawaka), Brady Newsome (Mishawaka), Kamdon Putz (Mishawaka), Tyler Bow-man (NorthWood), Jo’Ziah Edmond (NorthWood), Landon Perry (NorthWood), Chris Johnson (Plymouth), Cohen Heady (Warsaw), Lucas Ransbottom (Warsaw), Nathaniel Rojas (Warsaw) and Donovan Blair (Wawasee)

Keith Kinder of Mishawaka was named the NLC Coach of the Year.
